William J. Corda, 58, of East Haven went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2016 at his home. Mr. Corda was born in New Haven on Nov. 26, 1957, son of the late Michael and Leona Judson Corda. He worked as a quality control manager for Pratt Whitney Aircraft and for Sikorsky for more than 30 years. He loved Faith, Family, Friends and his country. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a baseball historian, an artist and a knife craftsman. He loved all sports, but especially the New York Giants and Rangers, the Atlanta Braves, and most recently, he rooted for the New York Mets. He especially loved his doggie nephew, “Pancake”. Survivors include his life partner of 20 years, Angela Varragallo of East Haven; his brother, Winston (Marilyn) Budrow of Raleigh, N.C.; sisters, Brenda Ranponi of Indiana and JoAnn Corda; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Michael and Brian Corda and a sister, Corrine Corda.
