William Hoskins passed away peacefully on January 12, 2016. He was born July 23, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri. After high school graduation, he went to work for McDonnell Corporation, working in aircraft. After a leave to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Bill returned to McDonnell Douglas, building a career in the space industry. Bill transferred for McDonnell Douglas to Torrance California and to Pt. Magu in 1974, then transferring to White Sands Test Facility at Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1976 and he came to Florida in 1983 where he continued working for McDonnell Douglas. He spent 40 years with McDonnell Douglas and 5 years with Lockheed at Kennedy Space Center before retiring in 1992.
Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jackie; daughter Marla of Lakeland FL; son Jim (Susan) of St. Charles, MO; son Bill of St Petersburg, FL; son Tim of Florissant, MO; and daughter Laura (Mike) of Florissant, MO, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter, Natalie.
