DURHAM- Mr. William Henry Harris, 73, of Durham, passed away on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020.
Mr. Harris was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late John Wesley Harris and Fannie Mae Mobley Harris. He retired from Duke Power Company. He played softball with his brothers and close friends for many years. He was known as “Papa” or Uncle Henry by many sweet children and their families that he loved so much!
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Jan Pearce Harris; sister, Louise Ferguson and husband Johnny.
Mr. Harris is survived by his daughter, Christine Harris Martin and husband, Shawn of Durham. Five brothers, John Wesley Harris, Jr. (Charlene), Charles Edward Harris (Carolyn), Marvin Lee Harris (Brenda), Wallace Reid Harris (Debra) and Michael Thomas Harris (Robin), one granddaughter, the light of his life, Savannah Grace Martin and many nieces and nephews that he loved very much.
