His love of sports included bowling, in which he achieved two ABA sanctioned 300 games in the 1970’s and 80’s, and pitching horseshoes, which he competed in at the Senior Olympics in Canada in the 80’s. He also was a fan of and enjoyed watching IU Basketball, the Indiana Pacers – “Boom, baby!” – the Cincinnati Reds, the Indianapolis Colts, the Indy 500, horse racing, and playing cards with family.
