William H. Strede, 85, of Coventry, passed away December 27, 2016 peacefully at home with his family by his side. Bill’s passion was doing outdoor activities with his family, and was a proud member of the Operator Engineers Local 478. He is veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Jean (Gawlak) Strede, a daughter Lori Beecher and her husband Chuck, a son Gregg Strede and his significant other Robin of Coventry; two brothers Emil (Buddy) Strede and his wife Marlene of Coventry and Raymond Strede of Florida and a sister Eleanor Costello of Mansfield; two sisters in law Helen Fiano and her husband Rocco and Wanda Connor; and several nieces and nephews.
