William H. Otte, age 93, passed away April 10, 2020 at his residence in Portage, MI. William was born July 23, 1926 in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Cornelius and Leah (Slater) Otte.
He was a graduate of Creston High School in 1944 and he served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1944 to 1946. On June 11, 1948, he was united in marriage in Grand Rapids to Barbara (Straayer) Otte.
William was a Lithographer for 40 years, and employed with The Upjohn Company for 15 years prior to his retirement.
Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Barbara Otte; three daughters: Carol Stoepker, Jill (Craig) Cumbus and Joyce Swander; a grandson Matthew Swander. William was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Thomas Otte.
