William H. Lamb 91 of Indianapolis and formerly of Libertyville passed away
on Dec 2, 2012 at 10:45am in the The Harrison Retirement Community in
Indianapolis where they had lived for the past two years. He was born on
Jan 6, 1921 in Clinton to Ernest Oscar Lamb and Mary Elva Shirley Lamb.
He was a Corporal in the US Army in WWII and was awarded the Purple
Heart and Bronze Star for meritorious conduct in action. He was retired from
J.I. Case Company on Jan 31, 1986.
in Libertyville where he served as an Elder. He married Lois E. Dowdy on
Sept 18, 1948 and she survives. He was a loving husband, father and grand-
father.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Lois Lamb, children; Connie Lamb Simrell & Vern
and Deborah Lamb Mitchell & Ben. Grandchildren; Heather Wilkinson,
William Lark, Nicole Bixler and Amanda Bixler. Great grandchildren; Richard
Pemberton, Emilee Pemberton and Dylan Lark.
