William H. Carter, 93, formerly of Brookston, died Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the home of his son in Elberfeld, IN. He was born November 30, 1922, in Circleville, IN, to the late and Harley and Clara Carter. Will graduated from Brookston High School in 1940 and served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. His marriage was to Edres Hendryx and she preceeded him in death. Will farmed in the Brookston area and was also a rural mail carrier. He was a member of the Federated Church of Brookston, the Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post 251 and had formerly served on the White County Draft Board. Surviving is his son Gregory S.
