William H. “Bill” Brown, 71, of Anderson, passed away on March 25, 2017 at the Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
He was born on January 5, 1946 in Allons, Tennessee and resided most of his life in Anderson. Bill served his country in the Army. He retired from Anderson Mattress Factory. He loved fishing with his brother-in-law, Greg Bernard. He also enjoyed woodworking, traveling and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his loving spouse of 44 years, Jean Brown; sisters, Winnie Mathis, Betty (Gene) Hummel of Anderson, and Debra Fletcher of Elk Mote, Al; daughters, Robin (Craig) Newman of Taylorsville, KY, and Lisa New of Burnside, KY; grandchildren, Thomas (Jasmine) Newman, Matthew (Lacey) Newman, Tommy New; special great-grandchildren, Peyton and Willow Newman; sister-in-law, Crissie (Greg) Bernard; special nephews, Kyle and Dustin Bernard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Hettie Brown; and brothers, Kenny and Grady Brown.
