William C. “Billy” Gilmer, age 82, of Trussville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 24, 2012 at 2:45pm. Billy was a charter member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church for 56 years. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was the founder of Gilmer Industrial Park. He was preceded in death by his father Harry V. Gilmer Sr., and mother Mattie Bragg Gilmer.
