William George Orlando, 90, died peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2016, at the Masonic Care Center in Wallingford. He was born in East Haven on February 5, 1926 to the late Anthony and Mary (Giambroni) Orlando. Bill had a great love of farming, and operated a roadside stand in North Guilford for many years. He truly enjoyed watching the Red Sox and UConn Women’s games. Bill was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran. Bill is survived by his children, William (Pauline), Mary (Banitta), Peter (Jennie), Toni Schiano (Jerry) and John. He also leaves twelve grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren as well as brothers, Richard and Robert, and sister, Lillian Scalia. Along with his parents, Bill was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette (Verboski) Orlando, son, Paul Orlando, Sr., brothers, Harry, Vincent and Peter Orlando and sister, Helen Blanchard.
