Surrounded by family at his home, William Gene Dunn, age 78, of Sparta, Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. He was born August 28, 1941 in Macon, GA. He attended Sparta High School and continued his education after he joined the United States Navy in 1960.
Gene was blessed by a large and loving family. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Mary Dunn, of Sparta, GA, their daughter, Donna (Brian) Hill of Watkinsville, GA, son, Mike (Sheri) Dunn from Maryville, TN, and daughter, Carol Lucas from Maryville, TN. He is also lovingly remembered by four grandchildren, Adam Hill, Amanda (Chandler) Hill Chittom, Caroline Hill, and Grace Lucas, and one great grandson, Sawyer Poulnott.
