William Gehrmann, 86, of Holmdel, NJ, formerly of Middletown, NJ, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 at Bayshore Hospital, Holmdel, NJ. Born in Bronx, NY, he lived in Fairhaven before moving to Middletown in 1984. William worked most of his life as a salesman and a musician, playing the sax and clarinet at various wedding and birthday celebrations.
He was a parishioner of St. Catherine RC Church, Middletown, NJ and served in the US Army during the Korean War. William is survived by his daughter, Carol Baker, 2 grandchildren Donald Martz and Stephanie Martz, his wife Mary, a son Robert and many friends, including his best buddy Ronald Hogan. The family will receive friends on Sunday September 20, 2015 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
