William Garey Sr. was born on April 11, 1949 and departed his life on Monday, February 13, 2023 at home.
He was the ninth child of the late Helen V. Garey and Johnson J. Garey. William received his education in Montgomery County Public Schools. He also worked for 44 years for Montgomery County Public School system. He loved the Washington Redskins, classic cars, baseball, and basketball.
He leaves to mourn his wife Joan C. Garey; two sons, William Garey Jr. and Jerome Garey (Natasha); six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; three brothers Jackie (Norma), Ronald and Donald; one sister Janet (Marcus); six sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
