William Garrison Davidson, Jr. Carpentier, 85, of Galesburg, died at 4:08 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 in OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. Bill was born on February 21, 1932 in Peoria, the son of William Garrison and Edna Mae Rollins Davidson. He married Patricia Ann King on May 24, 1958 in Galesburg. Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pat; one daughter, Deb (Doug) Best of Galesburg; one sister, Donna (Bob) Mikowski of Traverse City, MI; and one granddaughter, Demi Baker of Knoxville.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and five sisters.Bill served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1953 aboard the USS Harry F. Bauer. He worked at Gates Rubber Co. for 28 years. Bill was a proud member of VFW Post #2257. In his younger years Bill enjoyed golfing. He loved spending time with his family and loved animals.
