William G. “Bill” Hack, 85, of Peru went to be with the Lord at 12:43 AM Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hack was born November 2, 1924 in Jonesville, a son of Edward and Marie (Holsinger) Hack. He married MaryAnn Messino on June 26, 1948 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in LaSalle. Mr. Hack was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II.
He was retired after working over 30 years as a Parts Manager for Siegs Auto Parts. He was a member of St. Marys Church in Peru and was a volunteer at the Under Seller in LaSalle. Survivors include his wife, MaryAnn; one son, Gregory (Kathy) Hack of Peru; two grandchildren, Hilary Hack and Tony Hack; two sisters, Mildred Zera of Cicero and Marge Tideback of Littleton, CO; numerous nieces and nephews and his grand-dog, Garmin. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Hack in infancy and four brothers, George Hack, Earl Hack, Ed Spriet, and Marty Spriet.
