William G. Arnold, born March 20, 1940 in Red Lion, PA. to parents Harold L. Arnold and Beatrice C. (Snyder) Arnold who resided in Manchester, PA.
He graduated from Northeastern High School, Manchester, PA in 1959 and HACC in Harrisburg. He is survived by two sons, David A. Arnold, Cocoa Beach, FL and Jonathan S. Arnold of New Cumberland, PA.
Grandchildren, Thomas Arnold, Cocoa Beach, FL, Ashlea (Arnold) Gigante, JBL Lewi-McChord, Washington and Alex Arnold, Philadelphia, PA. He had several nieces and nephwes.
Bill had three sisters: Nancy J. Good, Cocoa Beach, FL, Gayle J Kute, Las Cruces, NM and Reba M. Ayland, New Bern, NC.
Bill served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962 during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources in Harrisburg, PA. and later moved to Tallahassee, FL where he worked for the State of Florida and then again retired. For several years he lived on his sailboat and traveled wherever he desired. He spent several months in China and Manila. Later after satisfying his travel desires he had a laundry business in Tallahassee and Miami.
In later retirement he moved to Merritt Island, Florida to be closer to his family and grandchildren.
He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 2, 2016.
