William Fletcher Jr. was born March 15, 1946 to the late William Fletcher Sr. and Georgia Ann Taylor Fletcher.  William was born in Greenbriar, AL. He departed this life on Friday, June 10, 2016, at Deconess Hospital Main Campus in Evansville, IN.

William confessed in Christ at an early age. He attended Lakeside High School in Morgan County. He served in the Marine Corps after leaving high school. Upon leaving the armed services, he became a Master Chef. William was a fun-loving, caring person. He loved talking to people.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Addie Shackelford.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a special loving brother (cousin), Eddie Jean Cosby (Mary-Pogo); loving companion, Debbie Williams of Monterey, IN; five loving sons: Marcus Hampton (Quintina) of Huntsville, AL, Dewayne Hampton, Boston, MA, Travis Fletcher (Sharon), Athens, AL, Micheal Lewis and Fred White both of Huntsville, AL; six loving daughters, Jacqueline Hampton, Boston, MA, Angela Miller, Hillsboro, AL, Carletta Fletcher, Athens, AL, Jennifer Lewis, Huntsville, AL, Lisa Fletcher of Athens, AL and Shelia White, Huntsville, AL; one brother, Roy Lee Fletcher, Huntsville, AL; three loving sisters, Lizzie Fletcher, Decatur, AL, Gracie Mae Fletcher, Athens, AL; one uncle, Willie Taylor (Ruth), Decatur; one aunt, Sally Taylor, Madison, AL; 26 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
