HAVERHILL – William Fanaras, lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA.
He was born on May 15, 1953, son of the late William and Katherine (Methenitis) Fanaras. For over 20 years he was employed at Lucent Technologies in North Andover until his retirement. During his retirement he found joy restoring various vehicles, home improvements and connecting with his long standing neighbors and family. He always made time for others.
William was a hot rod and antique cars enthusiast. He loved restoring his 41’ Ford Tudor and his Firebird.
He is survived by his wife Vivianne Fanaras; daughter Erica Fanaras; two sons William Fanaras, III of Haverhill and Richard Alhajj and his wife Kori of Litchfield, NH; sister June Timmons and her husband Edward of Haverhill; brother Andrew Fanaras of Haverhill; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
