William F. Ganzer, 87 of Manchester beloved husband of Janet (Whitehouse) Ganzer passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Bill was born November 19, 1929 in Pontiac, MI son of the late Johnathan Ganzer and Edith (Livingstone) Menard. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving his country during the Korean War and prior to retiring he was employed by the Town of Manchester Water Department for over 20 years. Bill was a member of Uriel Lodge #24 A.F. & A.M. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his four children; Julia A. Nucera and her husband Rick Domina of South Windsor, Chant MacLeod and his wife Karen of Waldwick, NJ, Christopher J. Ganzer of Newington, and Sara L. Ganzer of Manchester, ten loving grandchildren; Emily, Elizabeth, Ethan, Derek, Brennan, Grayson, Alexandra, Caitlin, Derrick and Joshua, along with many beloved family members and friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, James Ganzer and Gerald Menard.
