On January 16, 2021 William “Bill” Everett Cline left the earthly bonds to join his Savior, Jesus Christ. Bill was born on January 16, 1945 in Portland, Maine to the late Hiram and Ida Cline. He grew up on the Cline family farm in Coweta County and graduated from Newnan High School. He was the first of his family to achieve a college degree and graduated from Jacksonville State University (JSU) and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) with a M.S. in Nuclear & Chemical Engineering. Bill was a leader in the nuclear engineering field working for the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commision as well as reaching the rank of Colonel for the US Army. In his retirement years he enjoyed being a full time farmer at his 4th generation farm. He was passionate in support of agriculture through his involvement with the Coweta County Cattlemen’s Association, Georgia RC&D, and as the West Georgia Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor. He was a devoted community servant, loving grandfather, father, and husband. Bill was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 52 years, Mary Neal Cline. Bill is survived by daughters Susan Cline-Arguilla (and husband Ben; Newnan) and Dr. Kimberly Cline Mullenix (and husband Daniel; Auburn, AL), grandson Davis Everett Mullenix, granddaughter Harper Nealy Mullenix, extended family and cherished friends.
