William E. “Bill” Rigsby, 64, of Terre Haute passed away Monday September 19, 2011 at 5:55 a.m. in his residence.
He was born August 19, 1947 in Americus, Georgia to Dock L. Rigsby, Sr. and Martha Buchanan Rigsby.
Bill was in real estate sales, owned Bill’s Well and Pump in Macon, GA, worked at Securitas and was the Advertising Manager for The Weekly. He served in the Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He loved to hunt and fish especially in the South. He also loved relaxing on the pontoon boat at Lake Tobesofkee with his beloved dog, PeeWee by his side.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dock and Martha Rigsby. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Bland Rigsby. He has two daughters, Shelly Rigsby and her finance’ Jerry Stuthers and Missy Rigsby and her finance’ Dane Devereaux all of Terre Haute. Bill is survived by two brothers, Dock L. Rigsby, Jr. and his wife, Henrietta of Americus, GA and Tom Rigsby and his wife Donna of Jefferson, GA; two sisters, Jean Sprouse and her husband Wayne of Americus, GA and Ira Moore and her husband Frank of Sylvester, GA. He is also survived by his former wife, Dottie Rigsby. Bill has three grandchildren; Randy William Rigsby, Samantha Grace Moon and Nash Matthew Devereaux.
