William E., Smith Jr. Portage, MI, died Wednesday evening October 16, 2019 at Medilodge of Portage. Bill was born December 25, 1956 in Nottingham, England the son of William M. and Marion Smith. He had been a Portage resident since 1959 and was a graduate of Portage Central High School.
Bill worked for Atlas Trucking for 10 years as a parts person and later as a handyman. He was an avid racing fan and enjoyed fishing and working outdoors. Bill was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Marion Smith; a sister, Cindy L. Bridges and husband Arthur; a nephew, Spencer Bridges; a niece, Shelby Bridges all of Portage; an aunt and many cousins all of Nottingham, England.
