William “Bill” Elton Bonner, 65, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 18, 2017 in Newnan, GA. He was born on June 12, 1951 in Roanoke, VA to Elton Argo and Lee Tidmore Bonner. Bill grew up in Vienna, VA. He graduated from George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, VA in 1969. He attended college at Furman University in Greenville, SC where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1973. He was in the ROTC program, and served in the Army Reserves. He worked for Delta for 36 years. Initially he loaded airplanes, and soon afterward he was trained as a software developer/analyst. Bill married Jessie Chen in 1999 in Newnan, GA. They were happily married for 17 years and have two children together, Nathan and Rachel. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and skiing. He was a movie fanatic and knew one famous quote from every movie. He was a family man, and Nathan and Rachel were his pride and joy. Bill is survived by his wife, Jessie, of Newnan, GA; his son Nathan and his daughter Rachel; his father Elton Bonner of Oakton, VA; his brother Robert Bonner ( Lynn) of Fairfax, VA and his sister Janet Bonner Davis (George) of Winchester, VA; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives. Bill was preceded in death by his mother Lee Tidmore Bonner.
