Mr. William Earl Danford, Sr., 76, of Burlington passed away at his residence on Thursday, December 12, 2019.
A native of Wilmington, he was the son of Ephraim Bryant Danford and Nellie Gray Knowles Danford, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a parts manager for H. E. Wilson. William also helped his mother at Danford Florist for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Buddy Danford and wife Beth of Burlington and Mike Danford and wife Denia of Matthews; three grandchildren, Jamie Summers, Ethan Danford and Grey Danford; and three great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy G. Danford.
