Mr. William Edward Hummel, 71, of Rising Sun, IN. passed away at 12:02 AM, Sunday, July 27th, 2008 peacefully at his residence. He was the husband of Evelyn I. (Asche) Hummel. William and Evelyn were married on Nov. 16, 1957. William was born in Cincinnati, OH on September 22, 1936, the son of the late William J. and Rose (Schwaub) Hummel.
Mr. Hummel was a licensed insurance agent and owner of the Hummel Insurance Company. He was a member of the Lawrenceburg Eagles & Lawrenceburg Elks Club and a graduate of Moores Hill High School, Class of 1954.
In addition to his wife Evelyn, William is survived by
a daughter, Marla Copeland (Dave) of Rising Sun, IN;
three sons William Jeffry Hummel (Mary) of Greenville, SC; , Greg Hummel (Becky) of Rising Sun, IN; , Dan Hummel (Lisa) of Rising Sun, IN;
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and two brothers, George Hummel of Moores Hill, IN. and Joe Hummel of Milan, IN.
