William E. Entwistle 89, of Ottawa and Magnolia, died on Saturday, April 1, at AngelsGrace Hospice Center in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, with his sons by his side. Bill was born October 4, 1927, in Oglesby, to William and Vera (Powell) Entwistle.
He was a graduate of Magnolia High School. He married Betty Ann Nestler on Jan 28, 1950, in Spring Valley. Bill farmed most of his life near Magnolia, IL. An avid pilot, he received his pilot’s license when he was 21 and was still flying at the age of 88.
He is survived by 2 sons William (Ellen) Entwistle, of Magnolia, and Robert (Elizabeth) Entwistle, of Elkhorn, WI, 7 grandchildren, Erin, Matthew, Johanna, Robert, Claire, Brianna, and Audrey, 2 great-grandchildren, Keaton and Zachary, and a sister Mary Claire (Don) Sherman, of Lacon, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1978.
