William Earl “Billy” Butcher, 60, of Bloomington, passed away on Monday December 18, 2017 at his residence. Billy was born August 21, 1957 in Monroe County and was the son of the late Sharon K. (Flynn) Robertson and Ernest Earl Butcher.
Billy was a very giving and generous man who loved his family and his neighbors and was always going out of his way to help those in need. He attended Life Church and enjoyed being involved with his churches activities. He could be found daily on his scooter going up and down the B-Line Trail and making his daily visits to the library. Before his health declined, Bill was a wonderful woodworker and artist.
Survivors include his children, Amanda Kay Malone and Joshua William Butcher, 2 sisters; Regina Gayle Musial (James) and Tammy J. Walker (Brad Clarke) both of Bloomington, grandchildren, Noah Lee Butcher and Sarah May Butcher along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving is his loving companion Nigel who he rescued from the pound and loved with all of his heart.
