William Deon Burnett was born November 25, 1955 to the late Inez Williams Burnett and Lonnie Reatus Johnson. Deon transitioned from this world to his eternal home on Monday, December 10, 2018.
William Burnett, whom we all referred to as Deon, received his high school diploma at Jordan-Matthews. Deon later received his CDL and started a long career driving long distance. Deon was a faithful member of Holy Trinity United Holy Church and enjoyed having the ability to participate in Bible Study, Choir and working in the kitchen.
Deon was known for his great sense of humor and was always full of jokes and stories to tell. He was a hard working man that fought a good fight; his first battle was stage four kidney disease. He overcame this mild storm in 2017 only to face the last storm of liver and pancreatic cancer.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his oldest brother, Shelton Reed Williams; his son, Percival M. Burnett; his daughters, Beverly B. Assan and LaToya D. Burnett; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
