William David Hammond, 72, of Anderson, passed away on October 29, 2014, at the St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. He was born on July 30, 1942, in Pendleton where he resided all of his life.

Dave graduated from Pendleton High School with the Class of 1961. He retired after 35 years as an electrical lineman for the Town of Pendleton. He was a member and founder of the P-Town Mudders and Dave’s Garage.

Dave is survived by his loving spouse whom he married September 2, 1986, Patricia (Williams) Hammond; daughters, Monica (Gus) Pulos of Fortville, Denise (Tim) McCurdy of Pendleton; son, Matthew (Amanda) Adams of Markleville; grandchildren, Alan McCurdy, Tyler McCurdy, Arielle Pulos, Madalyn Adams, Makayla Adams; great-grandson, Brody McCurdy; brother, Mark Hammond, and several nieces, nephews, and close family friends. Also, surviving are his best buddies, Ziva and Ducky. He was preceded in death by his parents, William T. “Bill” and Maggie Hammond; daughter, Courtney Hammond; and sisters, Janie Whitmore and Susie Moore.
