William Darryl Lindner, 64, passed away December 31, 2021. He was born August 27th, 1957 and was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Lindner of Huntsville, Alabama.
William (Billy) Lindner was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, fishing, bicycling, golf, automotive sports, and wildlife observation. He spent much of his time reading historical texts and loved to discuss all aspects of American history. He was always excited to talk with friends and family about unknown attributes of civil war history along with recent archeological discoveries. Later in life, William spent time studying the Bible and often enjoyed in-depth discussions about Christianity with family and friends.
High school friends will remember Billy as a quite likable young man that played trumpet in the Grissom High School band, rode motorcycles, worked at Shaky’s Pizza, and enjoyed campouts on Green Mountain.
Billy chose to remain in Huntsville where he helped to care for his mother and father until they passed away in 2014. He will be missed by family, friends, and neighbors that loved him deeply. We are comforted to know that Billy has been reunited in heaven with mom and dad.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, William H. Lindner and mother, Jean B. Lindner. He is survived by his sister Jill Lindner Campbell (Dwight K. Campbell) brother, Jeffrey L. Lindner (Christelle H. Lindner), and nine nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
