Okeechobee – William Darrell Stephenson died on April 5, 2021. He was born October 8, 1948, in Wedowee, Alabama to Homer and Gladys (Taylor) Stephenson. A resident of Okeechobee most of his life, he enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking, baking, collecting guns, and most of all time with his grandchildren. He worked for Southeast Milk for about 30 years.
Mr. Stephenson is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris Stephenson; sons, David Stephenson, of Okeechobee, Steven Hughes (Lindsey), of Ft. Pierce, and Dale Stephenson (Sarah), of Okeechobee; daughter, April Bacher (Joe), of Georgia; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Julene Roberts (Billy Wayne), of Alabama, and Nelda Long, of Orlando; and sister-in-law, Beverly Valka (Ken), of Texas.
