William Daniel Vain, Jr., 77, of Westminster, died Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Carroll Hospital. Born August 17, 1938 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Grace Vain and William D. Vain, Sr.
Before retiring he was employed as a Baltimore City Police Officer and also worked as a public defender. He served in the Navy and was a Merchant Marine. He enjoyed 50’s music and fishing.
He is survived by his former wife, Gloria Vain of Shrewsbury, PA, sons and daughters-in-law, William D. III and Lissette Vain of Gaithersburg, MD, Tony and Cathy Vain of Menlo Park, CA and David B. and Carole Ann Vain of Taylor, TX, daughters and son-in-law, Nila Wolfsheimer of Shrewsbury, PA and Gloria and Albert Inches of Baltimore. Also survived by numerous brothers and sisters, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
