William Daniel O’Connell 80 passed on Thursday, April 14, 2016 peacefully at his home.
Born in Camden County, New Jersey in 1935 to the late Thomas Joseph and Margaret Mary Golden O’Connell, William lived a life of heroic duties. William proudly served and retired in the United States Army as a Medic, he served in Korea and Vietnam.
William was an outstanding war hero, William was awarded with the Bronzed Star Medal 1st Osk Leaf Cluster, Combat Medical Badge, Good Conduct Medal 6 times,, Vitenam Services Medal w/6 Campaign Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, National Defense Service Medal, 4 Oversea Service Bars, 6 Service Stripes.
William is preceded in death by; his 1st wife: Josephine O’Connell,
brothers: Joseph O’Connell, Thomas O’Connell, sisters” Margaret Peggy O’Connell, Betty O’Connell, Nellie Shaw and Kathy O’Connell.
William leaves to cherish his memory: Wife: Sandy O’Connell of the home
