William Dale Cornes, 47, of Cross Plains, TN, passed away on June 14, 2018 at 12:31 p.m. at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. William was born in La Grange, IL to Willis and Verneita (Gayle) Smith Cornes on March 14, 1971. He graduated in 1989 from Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, MO. Sergeant William Dale Cornes entered the United State Army in 1990 and was honorably discharged in 1997. He was a Persian Gulf War Veteran. William was the owner/operator of Plan B Express Trucking in Cross Plains, TN. William is preceded in death by his grandparents Horace “Pete” Smith, Virgina O’Daniel Roberts, Elmer Cornes and Katherine Pike Legate; his Uncle William “Billy” Smith and four cousins; Clarissa Rangel, Kimberly Morris, Teresa Page and Glynda Belt. William is survived by his soul mate wife Melissa Angeles, his parents, Willis and Verneita Gayle Cornes, six children; Dannielle Matthews(Ben), Logan Cornes (Kaylyn) , Addison Stanage (Kris) Kimberly Cornes, Krista Angeles and Joshua Angeles and his four siblings; Charles (Michele), Angelia (Isaac), Brian, Chad (Karen), eight grandchildren and multiple aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
