William retired from GM as a Tool and Dye maker. He is survived by children, William Thompson of Washington Court House, Lowell Thompson of Marion, Terri (Terry) Foor of Pataskala; grandchildren, Paul (Ashlee) Thompson, Pam (Walter) Chandler, Nat Harmon, Dustin Thompson, Brigitte Thompson, Adam (Lindee) Foor, Amanda Foor, Andrew (Jamie) Foor; 13 great grandchildren; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; relatives and friends. William is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Joyce Thompson, his son, Robert Gene Thompson; his parents Darrell and Sarah (Metz) Thompson; sister and brother.
