William Carl Reynolds, Sr.  Age 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2020 at Southwest Christian Care with family at his side. He was born in Woodbury, GA on October 1, 1937 in the late Junior Herman Reynolds and Ezelle Davis Reynolds. Along with his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his wife Connie Nutt Reynolds and brother Hassel Reynolds. He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Kathleen Proctor Reynolds; sons, Carl Reynolds, Jr. (Wendy), Daryl Reynolds; daughter, Kristi Reynolds Ozmore and stepdaughter, Ellece Brown (David).

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Shannon Riggins (Derek), Lane Reynolds, Will Ozmore; 3 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister, Barbara Holcomb and many nieces and nephews. Carl left Woodbury and came to Atlanta at the age of 17 after graduation.

He served in the Army in 1956 and then after being honorably discharged,  he attended Georgia State College. He then went to work for 8 years as Schick, Inc. as  manager of sales and service. He then joined Jackson-Atlantic as sales supervisor in the food store division and was later promoted to District Supervisor. In 1970 he opened his own franchise Wishbone Fried Chicken as well as his own commissary. He had four stores in Riverdale, College Park, Decatur and Atlanta. Then in 1982 Carl started C&D Coffee and Vending, Inc. Then his children joined in and worked by his side building a family business.

Carl loved people and never met a stranger. He loved to ride motorcycles, time at the lake with his kids and their friends and just being with family. After retirement he loved being on his lawn mower, working in the yard and feeding and watching birds. He was a hard worker and kind, loving, compassionate, giving, supportive father and grandfather.
