William C. Siebert, 83, of Granville, formerly of LaSalle, passed away, Friday, March 18, 2011 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru. Mr. Siebert was born August 20, 1927 in Oglesby to Harold and Dominica (Baima) Siebert. He married Alma Kuehl on February 13, 1949 in Tonica. She passed away November 13, 2010. He worked at Bakelite in Ottawa, Westclox in Peru, and retired from the LaSalle-Peru City Bus Line until they closed. He and his wife Alma owned and operated Almas Bakery and Catering Service in LaSalle for more than 20 years. He was an Army veteran serving from 1945-1947. Mr. Siebert was a member of the Oglesby American Legion. He is survived by a son William (Debbie) Siebert of Portage, IN; four daughters, Cynthia L. Siebert (partner Norma Lundak) of Maryville, IL, Tabitha Strozewski of Granville, Cheryl (James) Benson of Normal and Dorie (Jerry) Gorski of Dalzell; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Faith) Siebert, Jr. of Peru and one sister, Donna Siebert of Sterling. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alma, son John Michael. Pallbearers will be Eric Gedye, Bobby Dieci, John Strozewski, Jason Strozewski, Pete Siebert and Joseph Siebert.
