William C. ”Bill” Sellers, 83, Anderson, died September 3, 2006 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus-Anderson after a lengthy illness.

He was born October 25, 1922 in Putnamville, Indiana, to Grace and William C. Sellers Sr. They moved to Russelville while Bill was a child and he graduated from Russelville High School in 1940. He served his country for 3 years in the US Navy during World War II.

Bill retired in 1984 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 43 years of employment where he was a member of Local #662. He was a life member of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #209.

He is survived by his his wife of 60 years, Anna Ruth Sellers; one son, Stephen Sellers of Indianapolis; niece, Joan Sellers Ogden of Kettering, Ohio; brother-in-law, Robert Wilson and niece, Jean Wilson Thomas of Crawfordsville.

The family wishes to express a special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Robert Anderson and his staff, St. John’s Health System nurses, emergency room doctors, administrators and nurses. We would also like to thank the health care providers at Bethany Pointe Health Care Campus for their loving care, friendship and great kindness during Bill’s illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and William C. Sellers Sr; three brothers, John Sellers, Charles Sellers and Ernest Sellers and three sisters, Mary Sellers, Edith LaMar and Ethel Simpson.
