Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. McLaughlin, an aeronautical engineer, worked for NASA for several years as well as Lockheed Martin. He moved from Orlando to this area in the early 1980’s. Mr. McLaughlin served in the United States Army during WWII, was a member of St. Vincent DePaul/St. Gerards congregation where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed bowling, and loved to square dance. A good husband, father and grandfather, everyone loved this wise, non-judgmental man with a kind spirit.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Eleanor Watson of Edgewater and Bonnie Jean McLaughlin of South Daytona, and 1 brother, Jack (Gai) McLaughlin of Altoona, Florida. Mr. McLaughlin was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline in 2009, and his mother and father.
