William was born in Ogden, Utah to his parents Harvey and Helen Elmer. William graduated from Weber High. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. William loved to serve his country. He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. William is the fifth child out of 16 siblings. He enjoyed being with family on camping trips and family game nights.
William is survived by his children: Lee Elmer, Nick Elmer, Jessica (Jake) Keading; Siblings: Harvey (Judy) Elmer, Harry (Linda) Elmer, Richard (Penny) Elmer, Helen (Todd) Kmiecik, Glenda (Stanley) Brown, Walter Elmer, Sally (LaMonte) Carroll, Alice Perry, Oliver (Ellen) Elmer, Bridgett (Junior) Fackrell, Garth Elmer, Elizabeth Jensen, Barbara (Randy) Pierce and Daniel Elmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Helen Elmer and one brother, Rodney Elmer.
