William J. Burgess, Jr., age 73 of Onsted, passed away April 13, 2016 William was born December 16, 1942 in Sanger, West Virginia the son of William and Frances Burgess, Sr. On November 1, 2007 he married Lorraine Clauda and she survives. In 1992 he retired from Ford Motor Company. William served his country in United States Marine Corps from 1966 – 1968. He followed his passion traveling the United States to Bass Fish. In addition to his wife, Lorraine, William is survived by his son, Rick Burgess; daughters, Amie (Mike) Trombley of Onsted and Lisa (Nathan) Wild of Commerce Twp.; stepsons, Ray (Loretta) Burns of Hillman, MI and Steve Burns of Clinton; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Susie Chance of St. Stephens, SC and brother, Kenny Burgess of St. Stephens, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gene Burgess.
