Wlliam Brainerd Schiek, 96, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died peacefully at home on Friday afternoon, August 24, 2012. Mr. Schiek was born September 7, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of William A and Hazel (Brainerd) Schiek. He married Vivian June Lund on April 27, 1938 in Chicago.
The Schiek’s resided in the Three Oaks area since 1943 and he was a long standing member of the First Reformed Church of Three Oaks. Mr. Schiek did many things in his lifetime. He was a farmer, boat builder, loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his children, William Sander (Lois) Schiek, Lee Lund (Kathy) Schiek, and Zoe Ann (Todd) Noble; grandchildren, Bruce, Leslie, Lorri, Andy, Katie, Erin, Sara and Amy and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his children, Jeralyn Webb, an infant son, an infant daughter, son-in-law, Larry Webb and by his loving wife of 72 years, Vivian Schiek.
