William “Bill” Boyd, age 85, of New Troy, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2015 St Joseph, Michigan, surrounded by his family. Bill was born March 8, 1930 in New Troy, Michigan the son of William and Jesteena (Waters) Boyd. He married Lois Sonnenberg on September 2, 1960 in Sawyer, Michigan. Bill will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife Lois; his children: Ellen (Mark) Grover, Lana (Bill) Rudolph, Lynda (Joseph) Svoboda, Mark (Lisa) Boyd, Kirk Boyd; his grandchildren: Ashley, Andy, Annalise, Daniel, Ryan, Sarah, Heather, Chelsea, Nicholas; his great-grandchildren: Larkin, Caroline, Annie, Austin; his sister Jeanine Krieger; his brothers: Allan Boyd and Dean Boyd; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, his son Ronald, his sisters Barbara and Donna, and his brother Donald. Bill enjoyed his sports especially at the high school level.
He will be remembered for his gardening. Bill is a U.S. Army veteran having served his country during the Korean War.
