William “Billy” J. Jones, on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, William J. Jones (Billy), of Hobart, IN, passed away at the age of 51.
Billy was born on June 9, 1969 in Hammond to Bill and Joyce (Bowman) Jones. He graduated from Gavit High School in 1987.
Billy was the go-to person for advice on how to repair and construct any project. He loved fishing. All who had the pleasure to eat his fried catfish and his BBQ cooking skills truly knew what an amazing cook he was. He was a Cubs fan, Colts fan, and Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He told it like it was and you could like it or like him or not.
Billy is survived by his mother Joyce; sister Amanda (John); brother Michael (Liz); nephews Caleb and Cy; nieces Chloe and Lillian; great nephew Emilio; Uncle Russell (Cathy); Aunt Debbie (Mike); and many cousins near and far. To honor or remember Billy, throw a pole in the water or cook some catfish or BBQ for your loved ones.
Billy was always a giving person even in death. He was an organ donor and his wishes continue giving will be provided by Gift of Hope to save lives.
