William “Bill’ Vickers, 82, of Sterling, Illinois, formerly of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Citadel of Sterling. He was born on December 6, 1939 in Dugger, Indiana to Eugene ‘Bill’ and Reva J. (Poole) Vickers. Bill married the love of his life, Katherine L. ‘Kathie’ Vickers, on May 28, 1966.
Bill was a member of the Rock River Christian Center in Rock Falls, Illinois.
Family left to cherish the memories of Bill include: his wife, Kathie Vickers; son, Brian (Joan) Vickers of Rock Falls, IL; daughter, Brenda (Chris) Gravesen of Clearlake, CA; four grandchildren Jordyn (Joshua) Norrick, Austin (Kylie) Vickers, Corinna Gravesen and Cecily Gravesen, and three great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deloris Reintjes.
