William F. (Bill) Vassar, age 98 of 52 Missionary Road (Covenant Village) Cromwell, CT, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 8, 2017. Born September 14, 1918 in Northfield, VT to Harry and Helen Vassar, he graduated from Bristol High School in Bristol, VT in 1936 and from the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT. in 1940. Bill joined the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant in July, 1940 and in December, 1940 he married Dorothy Landon, also of Bristol, VT.
