William �Bill� Steimel, 73, of Vincennes passed away Monday September 3, 2012 at 9:35 AM at his residence with his family at his bedside. He was born February 19, 1939 in Vincennes the son of Leo L. & Agnes Mouzin Steimel. He was a 1957 graduate of Bruceville High School and he retired as a maintenance supervisor with the Broward County School System in Florida after 21 years.
He married Judy McCrary Steimel on September 5, 1969 and they made their life together for 43 years. He enjoyed farming in his earlier years and he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a licensed Basketball referee, and avid bowler, sports enthusiast, IU Fan and held memberships in the American Legion, Bruceville Rod and Gun and the 40 et 8.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Steimel, his daughter, Jane Rainboth of Deerfield Beach, FL. His grandson, Joshua Rainboth, his brothers, Robert Steimel, and his wife Hazel of Bicknell, IN, Jim Steimel, and his wife Jan of Washington, IN, Jack Steimel of Vincennes, IN, his sisters, Marietta Earley of Vincennes, IN and Patricia Clark of Bicknell, IN also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Sam Steimel, Charles Steimel and Richard Steimel, 3 sisters Margie Steimel, Norma Cary and Betty Stephens.
