William “Bill” Ralph Hill, 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at his home in Port Charlotte, FL.
He was born May 17, 1954, to Robert M. and Maribel Hill in Lafayette. Bill spent his childhood in Lafayette and graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1972. He was a gifted artist and went on to study at the Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, MI.
In 1978, Bill married Debra Harris and they had three sons. He was a loving father to Bryan (Samantha), Aaron and Adam (Candice). He loved to watch them play sports and was always cheering for their wins. Bill later married Rina Bradley in 2013.
Bill worked hard his entire life. He worked at A. E. Staley from 1978-1995. CDK Refrigeration & Electric from 1995-2000. Lafayette Venetian Blind from 2003-2018 where he took care of all the companies electrical projects and went on to become the maintenance supervisor.
In the fall of 2021, Bill moved to Port Charlotte after his retirement. He was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. He loved his dog Baxter, fishing, racing, music, bowling and playing cards. But what he enjoyed the most was the time he spent with his eight grandkids: Chloe, Avery, Mazzy, Mila, Audrey, Adilynn, Makayla and Mikah.
He is survived by his siblings, Melinda (Jon) Dunn, Nanette (Ron) Dinkel and Robert Hill, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill was loved and his memory will be cherished.
Bill was proceeded in death by his parents Bob and Maribel and his sister Laura.
