William (Bill) Knight was born December 17, 1938, in Florence Arizona to Harry and Emily Knight. He passed away peacefully on September 23, 2022, at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Emily and his beloved brother Larry.
Bill was an amazing man, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He loved with his whole heart all his family, friends, the Lord, and the life he lived. He was always hard working, but never too busy to help someone in need. Bill was a true cowboy who loved the western lifestyle with an amazing sense of humor and a dash of orneriness. He served in the military before moving to Texas where he cowboyed, welded, and ranched. And, in the 1950’s Bill moved to Colorado to work on the Flying A Ranch owned by his parents and the Harry Knight Rodeo Company owned by his parents and Gene Autry. After his parents sold the rodeo business, they moved to their small farm and ranch on 62nd lane in Pueblo County until he passed on.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Susan W Knight, beloved children Billy G Knight of Marquez, TX, Kelly English and husband Jason of Crockett, TX, Pete H Knight of Franklin, TX, Kristi Toste and husband Tony of Bremond, TX, beloved sister-in-law Barbara W Knight of Tucson, AZ, beloved nephew David Knight of Dillon, CO, beloved great nephews Jacob and Ethan Knight of Dillon, CO, numerous beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many wonderful friends who filled his life with love and joy.
